MY HEART FOR MENTAWAI CHILDREN
The Mentawai people, living in West Sumatra, are predominantly Christian, though now many are embracing other faiths. Asdora (PAK Alumni 2022) comes from Mentawai and is called to serve the children of Mentawai. Currently Asdora teaches Christian Education at SDN 06 Saureinu in the South Sipora District of Mentawai. There are 43 students, some of them non-Christian.
Praise The Lord, many students’ faith has been strengthened and Asdora has been able to share the Good News of Jesus with those who have not yet believed.
PRAYER POINT: Lord, continue to use Asdora to bring Mentawai children to Christ and to help others know you better.
Note: Praise the Lord, after going through the selection process, 18 new students have been accepted; 14 will live in the dormitory and 4, who are married, will live outside. There are still a few prospective students in the selection process.
